My name is Noor Qamarina Binti Kamaruzzaman . It’s quite long , right? But most people call me ‘Q’ . I am in my third semester of second year in Food Technology at Universiti Sains Malaysia . I hope that my impression about myself and your impression about me are not so different. Here it goes .

 

I was born in Ipoh , Perak at 14th February 1997. Then , when I was 9 years old , I have moved from our beloved home in Penang to Kedah . It’s quite sad for me to leave my friends around at that time . Now , I really hope to be reunited with my friends again :’) .

When I was 13 years old , I was sent to a boarding school in Jitra, Kedah for five years , then attended a matriculation program at Mara Kulim College about one year and finally managed to enter an apex university in Malaysia alhamdulillah =)

 

As for my family, I have one sister two year older than me and 4 sisters (all girls you know~) . I'm very grateful for having a lot of crazy sisters who are very understanding and kind towards me . I can’t imagine how sophisticated my life was without them <3.

 

I think I am a type of person who likes to smile to every people I’ve met . I also become a very friendly person to someone as long as the person started the first step to make friends with me . So , do not make any assumption if you guys do not know me. I do not like people saying something uncertain behind my knowledge . You must remember , the truth does not cost anything , but a lie could cost you everything .

I was born in Taiping, Perak on 29^th January 1997. Actually, I was being expected to born on 29^th February but I don’t know why I was born a month earlier hahaha maybe excited to see the new world! I have 6 siblings and I’m the eldest in my family.

Actually, I’ve experienced in participating in PLKN before this. It was very exciting and quite challenging. I had a lot of sweet memories there that I couldn’t forget until now. How I wish I can get it back in time. Then, I went to Penang Matriculation College and Alhamdulillah finally I’m here.

I really hope that all of us will be able to finish our bachelor programme successfully. Never give up as great things take time. Just be your own kind of beautiful!

My name is Tan Kwan Liang. You can call me Brian for short. I am a second-year food technology student that is currently studying in USM. I came from a town called Sungai Buloh in Selangor. I am the eldest among my siblings and I have two brothers that is currently studying as well. 

I am a form six graduate from SMK Taman Ehsan and I chose Food Technology after watching several videos on the processing lines of food through How It’s Made. My scrutiny and curiosity begins to grow and that is why I took Food Technology and it turns to be an interesting course. 

I am a lively person but sometimes I can be quiet as well. I love sports but certain kind of sports like wushu, swimming and badminton. For food, chocolate is my favourite but must consume in moderation hahaha! XD

I believe that the value I am holding and strongly believe is never giving up. As I walk further throughout this journey in life, there are so much challenges and decisions you must face. During tough times, you will have to be the best version of yourself, therefore everything can be overcome because you are keeping that spirit and positivity with you. I also believe that I can be great role model to my juniors which are Suet Wen and Yong Qi as they need guidance and inspiration from a senior as well, they have become my greatest motivation for me to be the role model they wish for.

I come from Kulai, Johor. Kulai , a small area which has a lot of delicious foods. I strongly recommend you guys come to my hometown for a culinary journey. I was studying form six in SMKSI in my hometown, Kulai before I get into USM. Currently, I’m a second year student of Food Technology course, USM. Actually, I got the offer from USM and UKM with the same course but at last I choose USM as this uni located in my favourite place, penang.  It was a paradise of food! However, I still feel sad when I came back to this place after a long sem break. I really miss my family and friends who are far away from me in Johor. But, I will be brave as this only one of the small challenges in my life. I know that i need to step out of my comfort zone to push myself to become more mature . 

For the friends that I recognised in USM , especially my lovely coursemate. Thanks for those who always stand by my side through the ups and downs. Most of us are bio students and this sem will be the hardest sem for all of us (because of many physics subject zzzz) , so let’s strive hard, study hard, and also play hard together , okay?haha . I'm NUR ALISA BT ABDUL MUTALIB and you can call me LISA. I was born in Alor Setar, Kedah on 17^th of May 1997. I have 4 siblings and I’m the second born in my family.

I studied at Sultanah Asma Girls School during my secondary school then I got an opportunity to further my study at UiTM for my foundation and now I’m a second-year USM Food Tech student.

 I want to be a Food Technologist since I'm in form four. Before this, I didn’t even know that there is a career as a food technologist until one day, during my first Chemistry class, my teacher brief about a career that involves Chemistry and one of it is a Food Technologist. After that, I searched for Food Technology & Food Science and guess what….. I fall in love with it. Since then, I want to be a food technologist. 

I want to be a food technologist because I want to know how foods that I eat are processed and to know the ingredients used to produce a good quality product. I also want to be a food technologist because I was inspired by Yakult commercial on television. Hahaha…. In that commercial, there were a few food scientists and technologists who are doing a research on cultured drink and I told myself that one day I will be like them.

I believe that we are on our journey to achieve our dreams and we still have a long way to go, so I hope that you, my beloved friends and teachers, help and guide me along this journey and I will try my best to help you guys too. Dream it! Believe it! Achieve it! 

I am from Kuantan, Pahang and my hometown is a small historical town located about one hour car journey away from Kuantan, which is Sungai Lembing. Do hope everyone of you heard this meaningful place before this. I have 2 elder sisters , in which the eldest one is now working at oversea as a nutritionist while another sister is still studying in University. The sister who is still study was born in the same year as me, but we are not twins. She is a January baby and I am a December baby. People usually called this as ‘Kembar Tahun’. I always proud of having a sister who was born in the same year with me, since this is a quite rare phenomenon. (>.<)

I’m a STPM leaver. I chose physics in my Form 6 study but right after form 6, I don’t like physics anymore and this is why I didn’t continue my degree with any physics related courses like engineering. I choose Food Technology due the ‘food’ word, it attracts me the most actually. I have the passion in cooking and baking. During free time, I like to read recipes and try new recipes. I really hope that one day in the future I may have a room in my house fulled with all my favourite recipe books.Starting from the day I successfully bake carrot cake and fruitcake, my beloved mother keep on asking me to bake these cakes again and again. Some people may not keen to cook and bake maybe because of having the whole kitchen messed up after cooking or baking, but for me, it’s fun and a good way for stress releasing.Talk to me if anyone of you are interested in the recipe of carrot cake  or fruitcake. Hahahha…

Seems like I’m too excited when talking about my hobby >.<…Anyway, let’s work hard and study hard together in this 4 years to be a professional food technologist in the future. Thank you for those who spend time to read through my introduction story. 

I had previously studied at Perak Matriculation College before continuing to study at USM in Food Technology courses. During leisure time, I usually prefer watching the movies. I like to watch horror movies even though horror movies always give me a big surprised and feel like having heart attack.Hahahaa  besides, I also like to fishing even though sometimes it make me feel annoyed because it so hard hard to get a fish. However, it is okay because it can teach me about the meaning of patience. 

I believe that although this life is sometimes full of challenges, but if we are wise to overcome it, we can certainly succeed to achieve what we want in our life.

I am 20 years old this year. I was born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan while my hometown is in Yong Peng, Johor. Yong Peng is a small town located near the outskirts of Johor and this place is really famous for its handmade fish balls and red bean dessert. I missed those food so much as I have not returned to my hometown for almost a year now. I have an elder sister and a younger brother, which makes me a middle child in my family. I feel thankful to my parents and also my siblings for giving me continuous love and family support when I really need them.

I used to be a real introvert, however after I’ve made friends and joined societies, I have learned to express myself more and be more sociable, all thanks to them. I hope that during my 4 years in USM, I will be able to improve myself as well as be brave to accept new challenges which are waiting ahead of me.

I have chosen Food Technology as my first choice in USM as I have always loved trying and tasting different kinds of food like a typical food addict XD. Hahahaha~~ Besides, I feel tempted to know about core to all types of food being produced or created in the world today. I feel grateful to be enrolled here since I have always wanted to study here in Penang, which is known as one of the world’s most famous food paradise. One of my dreams is that I want to develop a type of food which can be cooked instantly and can be a perfect healthy meal for everyone (unlike instant maggi). Of course, I anticipate a lot of fun and interesting stuff from this course. I look forward to working with my coursemates and enjoy these 4 years while creating lots of memorable memories together^^

My name is Siti shafinaz binti mohd sidek. Instead of calling me shafinaz, you all can call me Yong. Why? I dont want to tell because it is very very very long story huhu. I prefer people call me Yong because it is easier to remember and honestly i felt loved by everyone who called me that name hehe. 

I was born and raised in Batu Pahat, Johor and the youngest from 5 siblings. My sibllings were all married except for me of course and for sure my life are surrounded by a lot of  nieces and nephews (sigh). 

Ok then long story short, I really passionate to become a pilot since in primary school but well im not meant to be a pilot. After finished my foundation years, I really not sure what degree i'm interested in (p/s i love biology), so I asked my brother and sister opinion then the idea of applying food tech just popped up in my mind. I never thought to take Food Tech as my bachelor degree and never regret of taking this course.

As I love read self enrichment books, I would like to recommend you all to read a book entitled Five People You Meet in Heavens by Mitch Albom. Its about sacrifice,  forgiveness and the purpose of life. Thus, it is worth spending your time to read this book and it will open your mind. Thats all about not so interesting introduction. My name is Aina Nadiah and you can call me Aina. I’m second year student of Food Technology.

I’m the youngest in my family and I only have two siblings which are me and my brother.  So now you can know why sometimes I’m act like a childish. I’m kind of a shy and quiet person I guess. I love to play sports and outdoor activities. Although I’m not fit, but I know I can play lots sports. Just need confident and practices, then everything be easy right? 

Actually I don’t have a valid reason for choosing this course. Since my brother is studying this course and also in this university, so my parents ask me to choose the same. Maybe they thought that he will take care of me. But trust me, I can take care of myself. For me, here is the best place to learn on how to be an independent person for our future.  But that doesn’t mean that I don’t need my brother okay. I’m feeling lucky and glad he is here and it’s like a bonus for me if we are in a same class for a certain subject because that make me happy even though he just smile to me without do anything for me or to me.

Food subject actually quite tough for me because I weak in memorizing something. But that’s the challenge for me and I know I can do it.

My name is Muhammad Hazim Bin Romli. You can call me Jim. I’m from Nibong Tebal, Pulau Pinang and was born in Hospital Parit Buntar ,Perak. I’m very glad that I can grab an opportunity to enrol Food Technology course at USM . 

When I was 13 years old, I was offered to boarding school in Bukit Mertajam ,Pulau Pinang for 5 years from form 1 till form 5. During the period, I’ve experienced a lot of memorable memory and practises which mold me to be the best among the best. In Form 1 ,my class was assigned to has compulsory cocurriculum which is ‘Pancaragam’ also known as a group of musician who play songs. I gain a lot of knowledge which make me able to recite music symbol and playing instrument. We have won a lots of trophy whether in marching and orchestra competition. I,m very grateful to have friends who always dedicate themself in this group despite we still need to manage our studies. 

Now , I’m studying in USM. So ,I need to be diligent to achieve what I want 

I was born in 26th of June a Cancer zodiac baby. Smiley is always wearing on my face and hope that everyone will give back a wide smile back too haha. Because I think that smile is the main connection between two people even though they didnt know each other. 

I am the second among the four siblings. My elder brother currently studying in UTAR while my younger brother studying in Form Sixth and younger sister in secondary school. 

It has been a year since I stepped in the gate of USM. Time flies, now I have become a second year senior and a new batch of junior is coming to join us and get their university life started. Looking at the juniors, I saw myself in them. The first day I started my uni life, I got a mind full of curiosity. I was very excited anf cant wait to get to know my rommate, coursemates and lecturers though. I want to take part in every activities organised by all the societies and make new friends. Taste-test the new things. University life is definitely a new world for me and I am really looking forward to it. 

For the coming years in uni I will keep the passion burning and and continue to explore in uni. Accept all the challenges and fight with them.

My name is Nur Ain Rafidah and you can call me Ain. Currently I’m a 2^nd year student taking Food Technology course. I’m 20 years old. I was born in Hospital Kuala Lumpur on 22^nd of July and being raised in Bentong, Pahang. I’m the fifth child among 6 sibling. 

Actually I have twins (2 minutes younger than me) that also studying in USM and taking Industrial Chemistry course (School of Chemical Science). So, sometime you guys might mistaken her as me =). Food Technology was my first choice and I’m glad that I had been chosen to enter this APEX University. 

I graduated from Malacca Matriculation College before I continue my study here. The one year experienced that I got as a TI student are the best in my life (because I never image that I could go this far) and I learnt lot in here. I meets my greatest friend here and created very memorable stories. I hope I can create more bond and memories here with my friends, colleague and lectures for the upcoming 3 years. Insya Allah=)

Actually I’m not a talkative person and I will speak when only needed maybe hhaha. I like to do sports and be active and not just sitting there doing nothing. I believe that all of us can do our best and finish our bachelor with flying colors. Lastly, always remember this quotes “When you think to give up, think again why you start it”.

I was graduated in International Baccalaureate (IB) at MARA College Seremban. Telling the truth, Food Technology was my top bachelor option during my earliest days as an IB student. Thankfully through ups and downs, I got to further with my dream course. You have to dream in order to make one comes true. But the truest dream comes with good efforts. Yet the best dream is to fall asleep while it’s raining, yep.

I always had been drawn as a shy and graceful girl but truthfully I love to put on smile, making jokes and enjoy doing adventurous activities. It’s very nice to know all of you. Let us enjoy studying new things and finding motivation to keep learning. Last, my favorite quote: Always be grateful in your life because a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.

Next, I come from Kedah and I have 5 siblings. 2 brothers and 2 sisters are more than enough to be my role model and supporter for every decision that I take. I am 20 years old and I love to cook especially Malay dishes such as rendang and traditional kuih muih. The smell of the rendang after mix with kerisik is so marvellous. Oh ya if you want the recipe of the rendang kindly pm me yaaa =P Since standard two, my grandma teaches me how to cook traditional Malay dishes and it requires a lot of skills and passion. My grandma said, “when you cook with all your heart, even simple dishes will become great”. And she never throws away the leftover but transforms it into something different and quite interesting actually. Somehow that really inspiring me to love food and I am sure Food Technology course is the right decision that I choose.     

Currently, I am a second-year student of Food Technology course in USM. So far I enjoyed every moment in USM because of the lovely coursemate, seniors, and lecturers. They always are there if I need a help and thank you so much for everything. For all my friends, lets we finish this journey together and face all the difficulties with patience because Allah never said the road would be easy but He said: "I will be with those who have patience".  Therefore, stop complaining and doubting, work hard and make it happen. The name is Muhammad Wirawan Bin Mohd Mokhtar and yeah how heroic I am but you guys can call me wira, no waja, no pahlawan, no satriawan just pure wira haha. Hometown, hmm I was born in Hospital Batu Gajah, Perak around 3am in the morning of 14th January 1997 but now currently staying in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. How old I am? I’m 20 years old. Sometimes it kind of hurts because everyone seems not to believe that my age is two and ty due to my matured and bearded face but it’s okay because matured people usually are the centre of attraction among the ladies. Just kidding….

Things i love to do, hmmm well, I enjoy listening to music, like really a lot, but mostly Indie in genre. Some people say that my taste of music is weird because most of my playlist is not even aired on the radio. In short, non-mainstream weird songs. What I really found in indie music is they have a lot of ‘chillax’ vibes and ear pleasing after a tiring day (Monday-Friday). ‘Fazerdaze- Little Uneasy’ try give it a shot guys hehe.

My name is NIK NUR HIDAYAH BINTI NIK HASAN. You can call me "HIDAYAH" as my nickname but they usually just call me"DAYAH"  je just a short one.Haha, maybe it is much easier to get close with me. It's okay as long as you guys feel comfortable. Hidayah means "petunjuk".It is such a wonderful meaning I think. Hehehe .I hope me myself can be a nice person to everyone from the meaning itself.

I am from Kota Bharu, Kelantan where I was born and grew up. At the beginning, there are 6 people in my family. My father(abah), mother(umi), me, 2 younger sister and the last one is a boy.Unfortunately, I would not be able to live with all the family members for the rest of my life. My parents were divorced since I was in 5 years old and now I am living with my father.

What just I can do is try to be strong and never regret on what already happened in my life.Think positive and make a smile.Train your mind to see the good in everything. Positivity is a choice.The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.#syukurselalu.hahah. My full and official name is Nur Aisyah Munirah binti Abu Bakar. What a long name?! hahaha.. But u can just call me Aisyah. I’m a 2^nd year Food Technology student.

I was born and raised in Kuala Terengganu. I’m not 20 y/o yet coz my birthday is on 1^st of October, Just around the corner guys so do prepare a present okay hahahhahahaha just kidding… I am the first child in my family and I have a sister (14 y/o) and a not so little brother (12y/o). 

I love reading novels and motivational books. I don’t have a favourite author but as long as the storyline is good and interesting, I’ll read it.

Why I choose food tech? Actually food technology is my second option. My first option is pharmacy because I love the smell of medicines. Whattt?? I know it’s kinda weird huhuhuhu. It’s not my rezeki to join pharmacy I guess. But I’m grateful enough now that I join this course because I get to know more about food. Me and food, we are bestfriend hehehe. Oh yaaa…before I studied in USM, I was in Kelantan Matriculation College for a year. 

So, that’s it. I’m glad that I actually love what I’m doing right now (studying food tech) and I hope I can be one of the best food technologist one day *wink*. How I get into USM? Hahaha just like everyone else or maybe some of them, after Spm I attend 1 year Matriculation program in Banting, Selangor. One hour from my house so homesick was not really a problem. Then I had a hard time to choose what course I want to pursue in my degree. Food technology is my first choice and Alhamdullilah I made it! I don’t even know why I want this course but I find it interesting and I love to read food ingredient label before I buy something haha weird but its my habit! I receive an offer from UTM for Property Management course but my parents convinced me to accept USM so I did! My parents are my everything that I could ever asked for and making their proud and happy is my life goals! My name is Sukhufum Mukhtalifah. You all can just call me Lifah. Actually that's my second name. I used to have another name before this. and I don't really know what's the meaning of my name. But from arabic it means "different sheets" I think. Most people find it unique. 

I'm from Gresik, Surabaya, Indonesia. I've been living in Penang for almost three years. I experienced studying at INTI for one year. Then I get offered from USM. I don't still know why I ended up studying here. 

Food technology is not my first choice. I was directed by my parents to study pharmacy, but I couldn't make it. 

Even food technology was not my first but USM was my big dream university. I wanted to study in USM since my friend's brother did his master in USM. when I first came here, I was sure that I would be able to study in USM oneday. until I sticked USM pictures in my room. keep praying and praying. Because if you work hard on something you want badly then you get the result. After my long and meaningful life journey, here I am. proud being part of my dreamed university. 

Since childhood I used to live away from my parents. just because they want me to be independent. 

I like to hang out with friends. 

I am not good at explaining how I am and yeah this is me. Get to know me if you wanna find out more.

As food technology students, there are many challenges that we have to overcome. My friends said that they choose food technology program to avoid physics but unfortunately physics is a must in this course. In food technology program, I need to study all of the core science subjects especially subject that involve calculations. I hate subject that involve calculations, but I have to push myself to like the subjects because I want to success in my study. It is hard at first, to study want you don’t like and thinking about the future that one day you’ll become a food technologist and not your real ambition that you have been dreaming since you’re small. But I said to myself, as long as I get up tomorrow as I have today, surely I’ll live through yet another day. Now what can I do is just to move forward and let the past be the past. 

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! I am Nur Amiera Kamilia Binti Azahari. You can call me ‘Amiera’ or ‘Miera’. I lived with my family in Tumpat,Kelantan and I was born in Pasir Mas,Kelantan. I have four siblings and I am the eldest. I only have a brother and he is the youngest one.

 I went to a boarding school in Kota Bharu,Kelantan when I was 13. In upper form, I represented my school in table tennis and chess competitions. I didn’t expect that because those were only my favorite games to play during my leisure. In form 4 also where my exam results dropped. I wasn’t serious in class since I thought that it was a ‘honeymoon’ year after the PMR :D! I just realized it in the end of the year therefore I knew that I had to put a big effort for my SPM soon. I attended tuition classes during the school holidays and I did think it wasn’t too late.

After the SPM I continued my studies in module 3 in Kedah Matriculation College for a year. During this period, I started to have interest in food technology. I searched and read blogs as well as articles to gain a few knowledge about this course. I chose Food Technology as my first choice in all university applications and I am very grateful because I have chosen to continue my studies in USM!! Not to forget that friendship is also one of the most important things for me and I love to make people smile. I hope that this will be an amazing and incredible journey together for the coming years.
