This year in Year 8 History, I have learned about the Mughal Empire and key rulers such as Akbar and Aurangzeb, and how their decisions affected religion, culture and power. I have improved my ability to analyse sources and explain causes and consequences using evidence. My goal is to add more detailed examples in my extended answers.

This year in Year 8 Spanish, I have improved my vocabulary and confidence in speaking and writing about different topics that we have learned throught this year. I have learned how to use different tenses and give longer opinions with reasons. I am becoming more confident in pronunciation and understanding spoken Spanish. My goal is to revise vocabulary regularly and use a wider range of connectives and tenses in my answers

This year in Year 8 Science, I have developed my understanding of topics such as cells, chemical reactions and forces. I have improved my ability to plan fair tests by identifying variables and using evidence to draw conclusions. I am becoming more confident in using scientific vocabulary and explaining my answers clearly. My goal is to give more detailed explanations in longer questions and continue strengthening my practical skills.

This year in Year 8 Arabic, I have improved my reading, writing and speaking skills. I have learned new vocabulary and grammar rules, which has helped me form longer and more accurate sentences. I am becoming more confident in pronunciation and understanding texts. My goal is to practise vocabulary regularly and improve my fluency when speaking.

Islamic Studies:
This year in Year 8 Islamic Studies, I have developed my understanding of key Islamic teachings and their importance in daily life. I have learned more about the Qur’an, the life of the Prophet (PBUH), and Islamic values. I am improving in explaining concepts clearly and using evidence from Islamic sources. My goal is to deepen my understanding and apply these teachings more consistently in my actions.

In Year 8, I have made good progress in my learning and grown in confidence. I understand topics more clearly, especially in core subjects, and I am better at explaining my ideas. I have improved my organisation and time management, complete my work on time, and use feedback to improve. Overall, I am proud of the progress I have made this year.

In Maths, I have improved my problem-solving skills and feel more confident when learning new topics. I can use different methods to solve questions and explain my working clearly. I also check my answers carefully and try to learn from my mistakes to improve in future assessments.
