Monday,19 August 2019.
It is the first day i've started my internship.I've choose Iz Budget Hotel because it is near to my hometown in Besut,Terengganu.Iz Budget was located at Nombor 2,Tingkat 2,MDB Pasar Tani,Kampung Kuala Besut,22200,Besut,Terengganu.Iz Budget Hotel is one of hotel that really help tourists in term of accommodation.This is because,Iz Budget Hotel are not far from Jetty Kuala Besut that is the only jetty that connects tourist to go to Perhentian Island,which is one of the most attraction places in Terengganu.On my first day of SIEP,i've been introduce by the manager of the hotel,Puan Zalila about Iz Budget Hotel.Actually,Iz hotel has 3 branches overall.There is Iz Village Resort,which is the main office located,Iz Budget Hotel and Iz Guest Room.I've been asked to do my task at Iz Budget Hotel because the manager want me to gaining experience as a receptionist and housekeeper at the same time.At Iz Village Resort,receptionist and housekeeper are done by different worker.So that,i can challenge myself more while doing this kind of job.

At Iz Budget Hotel,there are 2 shifts of working hours which is on the morning from 7am until 5pm and on the night from 5pm until 11pm.I've been asked to gaining an experience either at morning or at night shift during my 10 days of internship.On my second day of SIEP,I've been asked to handle customers check out,tidy up all the rooms and make sure all the room has been cleaned up and ready to be use by the next customer when they come to check in at 1 pm.The first thing i need to do is make sure all the customers checkout and giveback the key before 12 pm.Usually,most of the customers just stay only one night at the hotel before they go to Perhentian Island.Most of them came from many countries all around the world such as Italy,France,United Kingdom,Saudi Arabia and also local people in Malaysia.On Tuesday,20th of August 2019,all the room are fully check in by the customers.In Iz Budget Hotel,there are 7 rooms total,so I need to make sure all customers from 7 rooms properly check out before help other staff to clean up the used rooms .

On the 3rd day of my internship,i gaining an experience as a housekeeper.I've learned from the staff on how to folding a blanket and a towel properly,kind of an items that I need to change and replace and also the correct arrangement of pillows that i have to follow in all the rooms at Iz Budget Hotel.Firstly,after customers check out,i need to take off the bedsheets,pillowcases,blankets and towels that has been used and put it in the plastic bag.After that,there is another staff comes and takes all the used items to the laundry ang gives the new ones for me so that i can set up back the rooms for next customers.All the bedsheets,blankets,pillowcases and towels are white in colour as a colour code of Iz Budget Hotel.I need to set up all the rooms before another customer check in before 2pm.After that ,I need to sweep and mop the floor.All the rubbish must be put in the dustbin and replace an empty new plastic bag.This is compulsory to avoid any negative feedback from the customer about the cleanliness of the hotel room.When the hotel is good in term of cleaning,it will attract more customers to enjoy the services provided in Iz Budget Hotel.]]> 2019-08-26 14:10:08 UTC https://padlet.com/nurulsyazwaniaida_h17a0281/_siep2/wish/377105922 SIEP DAY 4 nurulsyazwaniaida_h17a0281 https://padlet.com/nurulsyazwaniaida_h17a0281/_siep2/wish/377106399 Thursday,22 August 2019
On my fourth day of my internship,as usual,i come in the morning today.Since they are not all the rooms booked by the customers,i started my job by sweeping the floor. This week gonna be the second week of my internship which is day 6 already.Today,as usual , I come to work in the morning shift which starting from 7am until 5pm.I arrived at the Iz Budget Hotel normally on 6.46 whenever i come for morning shift.I will make sure the front door are clean before going upstairs to manage all the rooms.The front door at downstairs or a gate need to be locked after 11.59 pm every night. Day 7 of my internship on SIEP 2. Iz Budget Hotel does not provided any dress code to their staff.So,i just wear a casual form of cloth as long as it is suitable for me to settle down my daily job.As a receptionist,i just need to check in all the rooms either available or already check in by customers and i have to update all the information in Official Iz Hotel whatsapp group.There are 7 rooms at all in Iz Budget Hotel and for sure all the rooms has a differences in term of price depend kn customer pax. Iz Budget Hotel provide a towel,

All the customers that come to Iz Budget Hotel usually they are foreign tourists.They came from many countries all around the world.So,as a receptionist,I need to speak in English to communicate with them.Indirectly,I can improve my English language well when i use English as a daily language from the first day i've started my internship at Iz Budget Hotel.Honestly,i enjoy my job in Iz Budget Hotel because even it is part of my study,but i can interact with many people that comes from many countries all around the world.
