At age 15, Dr. King began his journey to college. He pursued a bachelors degree in Sociology at Morehouse College and later attended Boston University to earn his bachelor of Divinity and Doctorate of philosophy.

June 18, 1953 - Dr. King's second degree/Meeting Coretta Scott

After Dr. King's college years, he joined the Theological Seminary in Chester, PA. Dr. King became the valedictorian of his class as well as the student body president. This is where he earned his second bachelor's degree in Divinity. As his journey extended at Boston University, he met his future wife, Coretta Scott in the city. During this time, Coretta was attending the New England Conservatory.

1957- Dr. King founded the Southern Leadership conference

April 12, 1963 - Dr. King's protest and arrest
