I have gathered research from Charlie Puth’s TikTok account and YouTube.
I did this so I can fully understand the connection between, how this song was created and publicised via TikTok and also see the finished product e.g. the music video or song on YouTube.
As you can see this TikTok is part 1,
Charlie Puth created a lot of TikTok‘s to advertise this song.
He did this to create suspense between him and his audience, he does this very well as you can see his fans create personal TikToks telling Charlie to “drop this song already”

So when his audience hear him be so open and honest it makes us trust the creator, as well as want to be a part of the story that they are telling through their music. You can see this in him breaking down harmonies into different people, The nerdy guy that Yardley guy et cetera. I think this is very clever, he also tells the user to turn over their phone this makes it a lot more interactive, Really making the audience a part of the video.

Remember how Charlie Puth created the track he said what if we had a bit that went “ boop boop boop boop boop” and then proceeds to create that sound. He has a particular signature of creating TikToks that works for him, which also makes him unique so when his audience see the video they know what to expect.
