(May contain spoilers and reader discretion is advised)
Ginger the Cat, one of the Narnians enslaved by Shift the Ape and his Calormene helpers, played a major role in deceiving his fellow Narnians and the fall of Narnia. At the beginning of the story when the Ape is explaining to the enslaved Narnians that Aslan the creator of Narnia and their world and Tash the god of the Calormenes, we meet Ginger who seems to be the only Narnian who is calm during this explanation and may be planning out his options. Later in the book we find out that Ginger, after King Tirian was rescued by and escaped with Eustace and Jill, was the one who made the tale that Tirian was eat by Aslan himself because he was swearing and cursing Aslan at the top of his lungs. Also we find out that Ginger had been plotting with the Calormene captain Rishda. One of these plans included trying to get Narnians to go inside the stable on the hill to see Tashlan (Aslan/Tash) but be killed by a waiting Calormene. This back fired on Ginger, who was to be the first to go in and see Tashlan but survive. Ginger went inside the stable but came out a dumb cat (non-speaking cat), which meant he probably saw the real Aslan who said in The Magician's Nephew that if the Talking Beasts were not good he could take make him witless again. Ginger fell to his own ritless doom as he helped in the fall of Narnia.
Picture found:
http://welovecatsandkittens.com/cat-pictures/gingers-rule-17th-august-2015/

After King Tirian had grabbed and pulled the Calormene captain Rishda with him into the stable and witnesses Tash take Rishda, he found himself in the presence of the Seven Friends of Narnia in what may seems to be Aslan's country. This ending as it unfolds is effective because as it is explained on how they came to be there everything seems to line up as it should. The ending answers the question of what if the children who are brought into Narnia die in Narnia. Also the story concludes very happily with the reuniting of old friends which is quite pleasing to any reader of The Chronicles of Narnia series. You could the ending beginnings happily.
Picture found:
http://narnia.wikia.com/wiki/Seven_Friends_of_Narnia

If The Last Battle were to have one more chapter, I think we would get a glimpse back into the Shadowlands and find Susan growing old. The chapter would show her grieving for her family after so many years after they have been gone. Then maybe she would become old enough to believe in fairy tales again. The book could end with her on her death bed asking for forgiveness for not believing anymore and if there was still time left to believe, and then she would die and fall back in the mane of Aslan and the arms of her family.
Picture found:
http://friends-of-narnia.tumblr.com/post/98006664477/
