Specific interventions that are customised for individual students can be observed in/around the school compound. For e.g. there was a signage on the fire alarm that was meant for a specific student. Although there are abt 400 students per session, the staff needs to know them on a personal level and cater to their specific needs. Kudos to the school and staff.

Teachers are very creative to think about how the children can learn most from their lessons. A lot of specialised equipment and learning devices to cater to the needs of the children.

Learn that to work in a SPED school, need really a lot of heart and patience. Respect.

Also learn that there is time and space for everyone to grow at their own pace and based on their own needs.

Even though the class size is relatively smaller, every child in the class has their unique needs. It is amazing that the teachers were able to manage the class very well, stayed very calm when handling meltdowns and they know each of their students’ needs well! 👍

Well-behaved learners guided by artful and patient teachers. I am heartened to note how the students are also friendly and comfortable in our presence. The RCYPS staff are truly passionate and commendable. Wei Ming also clearly demonstrated how she brought instantaneous smiles to the many students with her joyful and approachable demeanour. Her formula is simple.
