My job as an elementary teacher would be to educate and facilitate growth + development in school. Some work responsibilities include making lesson plans, and teach. Typical work hours would be from 8-4.

As a elementary teacher I would be working in a school with my own classroom. I would work 5 days a week with the weekend and summer off. I would also get holidays off. As a teacher, there's no guarantee that I would have aid in the classroom. Depending on the grade and class teaching can be very demanding emotionally. I would have to work with a lot of patience and empathy. I will be inside all day, but moving around alot. (hopefully!)

There are 108,000 teachers in PA. My best choice of teaching would be in public school while private school is also a choice. As a teacher to practice out of state I would need a qualification in order to do so.

In order to become a elementary teacher I will need to graduate high school, then graduate a 4 year bachelor's degree. After student teaching I can teach in the classroom. I would like to go back for my masters degree and maybe a doctorate. I will need good social skills and public speaking.
