Buy public transport tickets in the purple ticket machine: 2 single tickets.

Take 200E bus, take off at Kőbánya-Kispest M bus stop.

From there take an M3 metro Kőbánya-Kispest and take off at Népliget. There will be a Népliget bus station.

You can access the bus station from the underground. There will be many signs on the floor leading you to the bus station.

After you get the documents from us, book an appointment in the nearest Hungarian consulate in your country.

Prepare all the necessary documents (check the list of documents in the following section).

Usually there is an interview with a consul, so it’s better to be prepared. Think about your motivation to take part in the project and to go to Hungary, what it will help you to achieve later and how can you contribute to the project.

After the successful appointment you have to wait for the consulate to issue a 30 days valid visa to enter Hungary (it may take up to 60 days). With this visa you can enter the country and wait there for your residence permit card.

After you come to Hungary you will get your residence permit card by way of post to our volunteer accommodation address, or you can collect it in the local immigration office.

The voluntary agreement

Documents in proof of means of subsistence in Hungary (your bank account statement/ a sponsorship letter - notarised declaration made by the applicant's family member, who undertakes to ensure the applicant's maintenance and care, and with a document certifying the maintenance capacity of the person undertaking the maintenance/ any other credible means)

Health insurance documents (Henner)

Documents proving that the applicant meets the conditions of exit - conditions to a return/onward travel (a valid passport, valid ticket/valid tickets for the relevant travel or the amount of money to cover the costs of the travel)

One facial photograph
