Immersive technology is a new way to interact data and info. storyhive, the hub and reality cast. Considerations: seek permission when filming the scene. Have to have the know how to create. AR, VR and MR. Create 3D models. Assessment via the AR (storyhive). Design Thinking is key. Hardware availability. Designers have to look at security issues (bio identity, data breach ) and how real life applications in the near future.

Use Augmented Reality in lesson to engage students and make explanation clearer (e.g. HP reveal). Can use animation to show how the internal part of an item works. e.g. show a pic of digestive system, when an ipad show on different parts, they show diff clips to explain functions. To combine diff resources to make learning more fun and effective. 3D model with AR. Storyhive and The Hub for mentees induction program. Use during LJ or camp activities. Using Design Thinking to create suitable activities to match to learning. Nature of AR or VR to suit learning outcomes. Consider hardware limitation (app may not be accessible by hps). difficulty to conduct a lesson which may be more beneficial to teach the normal ways. Remember to let pedagogy lead technology. not the reverse.

Use of VR to bring learners to the virtual world, for example, allow learners to 'walk through' the extraction of iron in the blast furnace. At each stage, MCQs can be inserted to ensure they capture the key learning points. Such learning experience may allow learners to appreciate Science knowledge better.

(1) Exciting how holograms from star wars, movable screens in Matrix and AR gaming like in Kdrama Memories of Alhambra is actually materialising. Cannot imagine how the future world will be like. So surreal!
(2) The impact to education and teachers. How different it will be like to teach in future. Will I be ready for it?

This is the shift that we as teachers ultimately have to take. Our students are already using AR in their gaming. Using AR,/VR in our teaching will definitely motivate them to learn.

Teaching of oral can be made more interesting using VR/AR. Students will have more ideas if we can walk them through places which they have not been before such as the deep sea. The learning experience will make their thinking visible too.

A better understanding on the use of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. The world is going digital. In the near future, we may create them as part of our teaching resource. Take an example, we used paper sticky notes in our discussion few years ago, now we use online sticky notes on padlet, etc. We will use stick notes on VR/AR soon as shown by YuanYi from Hiverlab.

Interested in using
1. VR for learning journey,
