Don't be annoying to everyone.

Mrs. Finneran's class pet is an albino axolotl named Nugget. 

Don’t get caught in other hallways-Stay in your hallway. 

Study at least 2-3 nights before a test. 

Eat breakfast every morning. 

Work hard and don’t play computer games when you’re supposed to be working. 

Have fun.

In general, be nice to people and don’t mess with them just because you want to mess with them.

Try out for cheer! 

Do an afterschool activity. 

Make sure you check the team agenda multiple times a week to keep up on homework, assignments, and due dates. Ask lots of questions and come to your teachers if you need help-that's what we are here for! 

Stay awake during class.

People say it's harder than 6th grade but it's the same, if not easier because you know the school now. 

Some of the teachers are more strict and if you mess around too much they might send you to the office. 

If you have trouble with your locker ask a teacher, they will help you learn how to open it.

Join an after-school club or sport. It is so much fun and helps you do better at school too.

Always come prepared, because the teachers don't always let you go to your locker. 

Be kind to your teachers.

Be yourself.

Be nice to everybody, don't start drama, and don't spread gossip.

Bring EXTRA pencils.

Get your work done and care about your grades. School is your job.

Hang out with friends you can trust and that could help you.

Don't worry too much and it's always okay to ask questions.

Make sure to use the bathroom and refill water during passing time. Some teachers have 3 hallway passes for each quarter.

Take accountability for your actions. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them! Your teachers will be MUCH more understanding this way.

Your teachers want to help you! Take time to connect with them and ask for help if you need it.

Know the difference between play-time and work-time. If you can "lock in", you can also have more time to relax or play after!

If you make a mistake, own it! It is okay - we all make mistakes. Don't let one mistake lead to another, by lying or trying to hide it.

Your teachers are looking out for you and want the best for you, even when they ask you to do something or you disagree with them. We also make mistakes sometimes.

When you lead with respect, teachers will do our best to help you. When you lead with disrespect, it is the quickest way to ensure you won't get a different response or result.

You are beginning to journey from a child to a young adult. That comes with higher expectations and responsibilities, but also more freedom and respect if you can handle it!
