Students are buddied with same language speakers as support. Own language use in playground. We have a Chinese parent group to support our large Chinese parent community. Cultural display board used to celebrate different cultures where student and parent from that culture are invited to design and display a celebration of their culture. Chinese cultural gps run in school. Kapa Haka gps too. Parents from other cultures are invited to share aspects of their culture through units of work. International Days.&nbsp;<br>Other language speakers are supported with people to translate and help with understanding formal school communication.</div><div><strong>I feel we are moving towards knowledge as verb</strong> here.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Focus is connected to our PB4L programme - Positive Behaviour for Learning - the students emphasis is participation and "doing the best you can"- Less of comparisons with others but rather than (like SOLO) - each student works to their best ability.  Teachers provide sound expectations for students to measure themselves against and there is a regular "check in system" proving feed forward/ feedback to improve and develop.</div>]]></description>
