Yes we like maths lessons. I like making number posters all about the numbers.

I like counting.I like finding ways of making 6. I like everything. I like finding ways of making 7. I liked making candy canes using patterns.

I have learned how to write different numbers. I have learned to write + and = to make sums. I have learned to double numbers. I have learned to make different numbers using part part whole. I have learned to make patterns with people.

CLass 1- Reception

We check our carpet maths rules. We talk about what we are learning today, then we practice something we have done before. After that we learn our new skill. We do an activity in groups. We come back to the carpet and put together what we have learned.

We love maths because we get to play on numbots. We get to learn new stuff and we enjoy writing calculations.

I have learnt my times tables and number bonds to 10 and 20. We can count in 2s, 5s and 10s. We looked at shapes that are 2D and 3D and went on a shape hunt.

We start our maths lessons going to our groups. Then we sit on the carpet and learn something new. Then we have a go when we are sat at our tables. Sometimes we use our maths trays to help us.

I like maths because we are all included in solving the problems and the lessons are very fun! I also enjoy the boosters that are after school because they are very fun and you learn something every day and its all important. My favourite maths lesson is perimeter.

I have learnt Fractions ,decimals ,percentages , mean average and ratio and proportion we also do long division after our fluency task in a morning to find the percentage of people who got 5 out of 5 on that task .

When we come into maths we start by doing a 5 question fluency. After that we talk and learn about whatever the subject is for that week and do some questions in our jotters. We then do an activity based in what we are learning about.
