    ¿QUIÉN FUE THALES DE MILETO?

    Thales de Mileto fue un filósofo, matemático, geómetra y físico griego.
    Vivió y murió en Mileto, polis griega de la costa jonia.
    En la antigüedad se le consideraba uno de los siete 
    Sabios de Grecia.
     

    ¿QUÉ ES EL TEOREMA DE THALES?

    Thales de Mileto dio origen a dos teoremas que reciben el nombre de “TEOREMA DE THALES”.
    - El primero de ellos explica esencialmente una forma de construir un triángulo semejante a uno previamente existente.
    -Mientras que el segundo desentraña una propiedad esencial de todos los triángulos rectángulos.

    ¿QUÉ PROPONE ESTE TEOREMA?

    Esta tesis dice que si dos o más rectas paralelas son interceptadas por dos transversales, los segmentos determinados por las paralelas son correspondientes y proporcionales.


    PARA APLICAR EL TEOREMA DE THALES NECESITAMOS CONOCER LAS PROPORCIONES…
     
    ¿QUÉ ES UNA PROPORCIÓN?
    Se determina PROPORCIÓN a la igualdad entre dos razones. 

    Una RAZÓN es el cociente entre dos cantidades.

    EJEMPLO:
     
      Cada término se denomina a^d = EXTREMOS /b^c = MEDIOS

    Si desconocemos uno de los términos, para averiguarlo calculamos el producto cruzado y despejamos la X (incógnita).
