Leading up to this, the British gained control of the Palestinian area until President Truman recommended a partition of Palestine to create the Jewish state. Israel would come under international control of the U.N. &nbsp;The state of Israel became a place of refuge for the Jews after 2000 years of being scattered around the globe.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world. It is arguably the most beautiful. Also called The Great Synagogue or the Tabakgasse Synagogue, the Dohány Street Synagogue is located in Budapest, Hungary. Construction began in 1854 and it was not completed until four years later in 1859 when it opened.</div>]]></description>

It has 32,000 seats and frequently hosted public concerts; a violin concert with Albert Einstein was even held there. Today it houses the Centrum Judaicum foundation, an institution for preserving memories and traditions of the Jewish culture. </div>]]></description>

The building was even built so that i would face east in the direction of Jerusalem. It was built from 1759 to 1763, back when there was no United States of America just thirteen colonies owned by England.</div>]]></description>
