Constraints are the limits of the project and are often given by the customer.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; EX. Cost, time, weight, size.&nbsp;<br><br>3. Proposed solutions are evaluated against the criteria and constraints. They often pick the design that is most compatible with both.<br><br>4. Tradeoffs are the exchange for one thing for another. Engineers might give up one benefit for another to satisfy the client and avoid a potential risk.<br><br>5. Two ways engineers can optimize the design process is by minimizing cost and maximizing efficiency by creating models and analyzing data.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Some examples of an engineering design process would be smart phones and 911 dispatch systems.&nbsp;<br><br>- Some constraints of EDP would be the restrictions that keep something from being the best that it can be; they can be problems that arise or issues that come up during the process of creating a new desktop.&nbsp;<br><br>- Throughout this process the proposed solutions can be evaluated by brainstorming and working together to help solve the problem that they are facing.&nbsp;<br><br>- Tradeoffs are a balance achieved between two desirable but incompatible features; a compromise. Engineers might give up one benefit over another because I am sure that they are good at what they do but everyone has different abilities and can possibly know more about the criteria that they are working in.&nbsp;<br><br>-Two ways in which engineers optimize the design process of the EDP can be defining the problem, brainstorming solutions, and researching ideas/ exploring the possibilities.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

An engineer will have an idea for the criteria that will help with the build or design process.<br><br>A tradeoff is an exchange for one thing in return for another.
