I chose Tremblay v. Daigle (Reproductive freedom & a father's right to stop an abortion) because this topic really interests me in terms of where one may draw the line for abortion, and what perspective the father might have during the process.

I chose R.V. Collins Unreasonable search & seizure and illegally obtained evidence. I decided to look into this case because it can affect anyone, and it was really interesting to read and learn about. I would like to know why some police do this, how it is emitted into evidence in the first place, and than how the courts deal with it. I would also like to know the repercussions of the Crown for doing this.

I chose R. v. Feeney, this case lead to the change of section 8 of The Charter Of Rights and Freedoms against unreasonable search and seizure. Now police are not allowed to search a persons house or property without a search warrant and reason. I decided to chose this case because I feel like many minority groups were taken advantage of in the past and police had no equality in their work. I feel like this case helped improve laws to make Canada safer and more equal for minority groups and people without a voice.

I chose Carter v. Canada, medical assistance in death. The reason why I chose this case is because It looks at the fine line between murder and fulfilling someone's wishes that is suffering. It is interesting to me that something considered to be wrong (ending someone's life) is now legalized. I feel like this case helps people who are suffering from a terminal illness die with dignity, and end their life on their own terms.

I chose this case because it is an interesting topic that could potentially affect me one day or people I know and it is extremely relevant in today's world and news.

The case I chose is Brown v. Board of Education. In this case, plaintiffs were denied admission into a public school attended by white children. This was permitted under laws which allowed segregation based on race. This case is interesting to me because it shows the inequality and discrimination people of colour have had to face, and some still face, for simple things like education which we see as our right. The segregation on the basis of race in schools deprives minority children of equal educational opportunities.

The case I chose is R.V. Collins. I chose this case because I have reviewed it before for another class and I always found it interesting. It makes me question why cops would violate someones rights and freedoms, when they should have them in the back of their minds while on duty. It's also a good case to know of because cases like this happen often and peoples rights and freedoms get violated all the time, so I think that it is important that people know their rights and freedoms.

The case I chose is R. V Latimer, compassionate killing case. This case involves a man named Robert Latimer murdering his daughter, who was diagnosed with a severe form of Cerebral Palsy. This case brought up the question of whether Latimer murdered his daughter in cold blood, or whether he took mercy on her and killed her because of all the pain she was suffering through. I thought this would be an interesting case to research because I didn’t know anything about the laws surrounding mercy killings (aka euthanasia) in Canada and what type of punishment Latimer would have suffered because he killed his disabled daughter.
