-Globe academy is bridging this gap with artists through their academy program 

-Incorporated as a private school, have teachers from across Canada, and offer accommodation for them

 

-Curious if Globe’s initiatives foster local community, do graduates move to Toronto?

 

-We prioritize hiring local artists, and use quotas.

-Also speaking of admin and technical personnel, fostering their development to a professional level

 

-Orangeville has a large academy that includes a youth choir, after school programming, and programs for high functioning children on the autism spectrum/down syndrome

-Older students move into assistant positions and them leave for theatre schools, Comes full circle to be employed by the theatre/direct programs

 

-Prairie Theatre Exchange was founded as a theatre school, recreational program starting at age 5, and also includes an adult program and a film program. The teachers are professional in the acting community
