The man is looking at the woman with his arm around her and she is leaning against him. In Greek Banquets, women could only be at the banquet if they were a musician or a courtesanAn Etruscan woman is shown on the same level as man. Also they would add the name of the mother.A race ahead of its time i'd say since Greek and Roman women would stand in the shadows of her man.

Found in a tomb, a terracotta sarcophagus shows a couple
lounging and enjoying a banquet. The male figure looks lovingly at the women
with his right hand on her shoulder while the female figure leans on him closely. This pose along with the significance of them enjoying a banquet shows men and women were equal in Etruscan society unlike the Greeks. Greek banquets
were strictly for men and women were only there as either musicians or courtesans. Another sign women held an important role is in their names. It was common men would add the name of their mothers to theirs. If a woman had status as an individual she was held at a higher regard.

How are Etruscan tombs similar to Egyptian ones? The Etruscans believed that life continued after death and because of that, their tombs were built like a house with furniture, décor, and frescoed walls. They Egyptians believe that life was a gateway to afterlife. The Etruscan tombs were built using large blocks of stone that progressively got smaller towards the dome they were more rounded than the pyramids but still had the same concept. Where the Egyptian tombs were square, the Etruscan tombs were circular. They both had chambers leading to multiple rooms, multiple family members buried in the same tomb, and size was determined by wealth /
importance.

The Etruscans were probably listing things out like the Egyptians to take with them to the after life. They also had pictures of everyday life like banquets and chariot races.

The ancient Etruscan women were on the same level as men. In art they were both show with equal size as well as doing the same activities. They were also able to inherit property in their name, which led some women not to marry as well as more loving marriages. Children went not only by their fathers name but by both parents names. Women had a family name as well as individual identity. Compared to Greek or Roman women who were anonomous behind the husband and family.
