         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.SETT was created to guide the selection, acquisition and use of AT devices and services and other supports.<br>2. After taking in consideration goals and expectations, if the student can work toward mastery of those goals WITHOUT AT, then it is a good idea not to make things more complex by putting an unneeded device in the mix.<br>3. If a family does not want to use technology, then work with them to find a solution that works for them. Gradually have the student try out using an available device to get some evidence in the difference between the quality, quantity or ease of what can be done with the tech and without it. <br>4<strong>. </strong>When determining the right assistive technology for the student, you should consider all environments the student is involved in the school (classroom, cafeteria, playground, hallway, bus), home, and community. &nbsp;<br>5. Choosing assistive technology is a group effort; collaboration is key!<br>6. All phases within the SETT framework are essential for success.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
