Every party interested in SIP needs to be in agreement that we need to right this ship and move forward. There cannot be a rhetoric that separates the 3 or 4 groups that are being served. Students, Teachers, Districts and Communities all need to be on board for success and buy-in to the process that is about to take place. 
2. Planning...
Are we going to create a 21st-century classroom, are we moving towards flipped school? PD and student awareness need to be accounted for in order for there to be smooth seamless transitions to a new world, this takes a plan.
3. Leadership...
From the get go there needs to be a team or someone with a firm grip on the throttle.  The leadership needs to be one step ahead of the group to navigate the waters coming.   A chef without a kitchen can't seem to cook.  
4. Training (PD)...
Teachers can't be expected to know what is new in the real world. We need to provide USEFUL content specific professional development to lead teachers and not alienate them. Depending on the information being offered to teachers determines the teaching technique used to express those ideas. It is a direct correlation if I am attending a PD about cooking, I expect a hands on component to the PD.
