Bird's Lullaby: I think everyone sounded really good! :) My only thing is that the first time we sang Bird's Lullaby we started a little fast, but the second time we are on tempo. We need to make sure we start on tempo in contest. I don't think it would hurt to pronounce our S's more because I can't here them sometimes. Sop 1's need to work on the siiiiing at the end where the note changes because everyone changes at different times. I think we are well balanced.
Spark: Our sparks in Spark sounded awesome and we had good timing.I feel like we could have been louder in parts in Spark. Also when we did the flyyyyyy flyyyy flyy flyy, we quieted down before that was supposed to start, so instead of suddenly quiet, it decrescendod. I think we had pretty good balance in places in both songs. Good job everyone! :)

Spark The introduction was good as well as the cut off, I noticed in some parts where we were supposed to hold out a note, it wasn't held out by the whole section. As the song progressed there were certain points were you couldn't hear the altos that well or it you did it did not sound "great".... for the second recording of spark. When we sing grow at the beginning, it didn't sound right as though we possibility backed off to much(maybe its just me) The altos were more prominent in this recording in comparison to the last. for both recordings at the end I couldn't hear the random "fly's" But that could have also just been because of it being from a recording and not in person.

SPARK:
-At the first fly chord, I couldn't hear women's choir alto ones as well as other parts.
-Make sure Sopranos and Altos are at matching tempos each time we do fly-y-y and the melody.
-When altos sing heaven, before "shining song is pearled", make sure we switch notes at the same time after four beats.
-Also, when altos sing heaven, this part needs to be more clear and confident with notes and rhythm.
-Near the end when alto ones have the melody "Fly, lark from on high, song that doth fly..." we need to be louder and more confident.
-Spark. Spark. Fly sounded good!
-The very last chord sounded very pretty.

BIRDS LULLABY:
- Watch Mrs. Pace! Especially near the beginning, because we were going crazy fast.

- Make sure we don’t scoop or slide on the the do’s at the very end.

- Alto ones: Make sure we keep tall vowels when we have the melody. It will help us to have better pitch and hit the higher notes straight on.

- I heard of lot of ssssss. Make sure we cut off at the same time to keep it clean.

- We could do a better job with blending our voices.
- Tempo was better in the second assembly.
- Many chords sounded very pretty, and we did a pretty good job with the syncopation.

The ending was absolutely beautiful, as well as the 'Spark, Spark, Spark, Spark', That's a difficult part that we blew right out of the stadium.
Spark 2: Beginning is somehow even better than the first assembly, we sound much more confident and proud. I'm so proud of all of us for learning this song, and performing it so beautifully. I'd say for the second assembly we could improve on the swell of 'Fly' during the chorus, and also our "K's" and "Fl's", in the ending we could also be a bit quieter before we grow.
Bird's Lullaby

Spark- Good starting. At some point we started to speed up. The balance was kind of bad, S1 was a little bit too strong, S2 need to stand out more. The cutting parts are clear. The fly~~~part, the "fl" sound need to work on it. We sound better on the second assembly. The balance were a lot better.
Birds - The tempo was too fast, from the beginning, we started to speed up just like so scared will be late for the train. We should slow it down a little bit. Maybe because of the seeping, some parts squeeze together, not really can hear the word. Btw, great volume, and vowels. In the second assembly the tempo was better, but still need to slow a little bit. For example, first assembly was speed*2, then the second one will be speed*1.5. The "song(up hill, down hill)" need to work on that part, some people still sing the wrong note. After all, good dynamic, great volume, and vowels.

Birds Lullaby 1: Tinudo on our 'Do's' in the beginning are very well defined. We sound very tired and out of energy, this is a happy, bouncy song! Dynamics aren't there as much as we'd thought, need to be worked on. Blend is very lovely and sweet sounding. Also, get it Alto 1 melody! The low note on Alto 1 melody isn't as harsh. Ending is glorious, got a bit misty eyed just now. Tempo was a bit off but we're making it work.
Birds Lullaby 2: Sorry for coming in early everyone. Beginning is a bit bouncier, but we REALLY need to work on the energy in this piece. Blending is a bit more gorgeous than last time. Dynamics are more prominent I am very proud. Alto 1's ' Da Da Da's' are very clear, didn't even hear them in the first assembly. Second Soprano's and Alto two's sound breathtaking during Alto one's melody moment. The ending is so perfect, I cannot stress this enough. Great Job Everyone! This assembly was so horrifically exhilarating and we did so well. Keep it up.

Bird's Lullaby : Blending together, more c in carolled, good you, breathing, coming in on the do dos. Open mouth! I think the sing to us people are a little loud. we sound weak and that our mouths need to be open. finding pitch in the strong and song, swing for soprano I, kinda crispy and not pitched right when we go to the high swing thing. blending is cool. Soprano II when they come in during the beginning sounds a little overpowering and not as blended. Our tempo is kinda fast. The do do do is a good articulated but I feel is to much and should be a soft do but still there. We need a stronger and your branches. Tank up! our oooo is not as blended as the first time and more dynamics. Blending would be good there also. Swing pitches the second performance and entrance. We got the words, we need to work on the technical stuff. open mouth for the second performance. good alto section overall. and the rit is good at the end. Swelling is good. I ran out of air most of the time. Sopranos did not hold out the drowse full length. I heard funky words like they were sang at the wrong time, We sounded good though! I would say we are close but not at contest - ready yet.

The contrast or crunch between parts at the end was beautiful, we did over all well with song. We could work on to maintain tall "doo" shape throughout the song. As we began to slightly loose shape throughout the song. during one of the performances of this song Altos need to work on, on measure I believe 36 when the sopranos sing doo doo doo instead of us. Some of the altos are forgetting its the soprano part and sing during it. For the second recording Agian lots of just absolutley beautiful crunches between the parts

Recording quality has a lot to do with it. I thought the altos sounded strong in many spots!

Spark
+ Good swells on "fly's" altos
+ The very end was well balanced
+ GREAT dynamics!!!
+ "Spark spark" had good rhythm and tempo
- Alto 1's need to be louder at the beginning "fly"
- "Music Lark" needs more open vowels
- "Bring to me their glory" sounded possibly sharp?

Birds Lullaby
+ Well done with with pitches throughout the song
+ Good job at watching Pace for slowing down at the end
+ Ending sounds very balanced
- We need to slow down
- Be more confident for the very first entrance and other entrances
- Work on diction and consonants during melodies
- Cut offs and "s" could be cleaned

I think that we might go a BIIIIT too hard on the "music lark", especially that k. it ends up not leaving room for the o in from.

Spark - 1st assembly
Alto 1: M. 4 & 5 couldn't really hear them. Need to work on dynamics.
Alto 1: M. 36 - Dynamics
Alto 1: M. 53/54 couldn't hear lark from on high. Dynamics
Spark - 2nd assembly
Alto: M. 4/5 again dynamics
Alto 1: M. 20/21 good job with "their song" - great dynamics
Alto 1: M.47-50 Pitch on fly needs work
Birds Lullaby - 1st assembly
Alto 1: vowel shape on doo
Mostly feel as though the song was rushed
Alto 1: M. 21-24 some girls sounded unsure of notes - pitch
Alto 1: M. 55-69 Vowel
Alto 1: M. 73/74 We change on swing and not many girls are doing that.

Spark: Need to work on our speed. I like how quiet Sopranos got in above, you could hear the alto very clearly. End notes need to be a little bit more clear. Altos sounded really good when they were singing the melody.

I agree on tempo! I think we're eager to speed up, which leaves some people parts behind.

Spark: The cut offs for spark sounded really good. I think that we were too quiet on some parts where we should have been a little bit louder.

I agree, our cut offs were good and we came in on time, and we could have been louder in places too.

The balance was very good, and I agree that slowing down Bird's Lullaby would make it even better!

possibility backed off to much(maybe its just me) The altos were more prominent in this recording in comparison to the last. for both recordings at the end I couldn't hear the random "fly's" But that could have also just been because of it being from a recording and not in person.

I agree, I didn't here any of the fly's in the recording, I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or not.
