There are 8 different species of pangolin and are the only mammals that are known to have scales. Pangolins also roll up into tight balls, a little bit like hedgehogs.  Pangolins are found across Asia and Africa.</div>]]></description>

Their meat is a considered a delicacy and their scales are mistakenly used for medical purposes.</div><div><strong>Distinctions:<br></strong>Chinese Pangolin is usually distinguished by its helmeted appearance and has slightly smaller scales, and a larger outer ear then the Indian Pangolin.  Sunda Pangolins and Chinese Pangolins have a similar size and weight but a Chinese Pangolin only has about 18 rows of scales.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I chose Pangolins when I was looking on the web for 'Exotic animals that are going extinct in 2020,' and these adorable little creatures came up. I have always had a heart for animal that are being poached to extinction. For example, the first time I heard about Dodos, I cried my eyes out. So the main reason I choose Pangolins was to make people aware of the "most trafficked Animal you've never heard of," as one site puts it. </div>]]></description>
