I am from a town called Reidsville, which is only 30 minutes outside of Greensboro. I have lived here my whole life!

After graduating with my bachelor's in animal science, I plan to attend Vet school to become a large animal vet. My main focus will be cattle and equine!

After Vet School

After I graduate Vet School, I would like to open my own Veterinary practice in my hometown. At my facility I would like to have a practice for large animals, a rescue and rehab for horses, along with a boarding and training facility for horses.

I currently work two jobs. One of which is at a boarding and training facility for dogs, where we board, train and groom. The other is at a local bakery close to my house!

In my free time, I really enjoy going to the gym and lifting weights. It is my biggest hobby.

Memorable Event!

I think my most memorable event would have to be my first day of college. As someone with pretty bad anxiety, I was very anxious and scared. I got lost and was almost late to class. When I got to my lecture and sat down, the girl beside me struck up a conversation and told me that she was nervous too. I realized that day that everyone has fears and things to overcome, so I shouldn't be as harsh on myself. I also learned that it's okay to not always know exactly what you are doing, because there are plenty of people in the exact same boat as you.

Social issue

I major social issue that is important to me is mental health. I feel as though there is not enough access to help and healthcare for mental health. People go undiagnosed every day when it comes to mental health disorders because of a lack of access to care. I think one solution would be to have regular mental health checks in public schools, giving kids access to help if they need it. Along with that, access to the public for more mental health resources so people can get the help they need and deserve.
