Teenie overall was a good book although, it did have its flaws. There was points of the book where I felt some situations could of went a little different, and there was situations that I felt went with the book perfectly. I loved how they explained Teenies emotions were when she first met Troy because it was the exact same way how an average teenage girl would feel and I related to it 100%.

I included this specific cover because it showed a picture of Teenie and for people like me, it gives a better picture of the book while reading. I also liked how they included a quote for how she is a person (ex: carrying all her books in her book bag because she loved to read.)

To anyone who has trouble fitting in or finding themselves as an individual, this book would be perfect. It gives a realistic life of a teenage girl who wants to be better then where she came from. It gives multiple more themes including not to trust anybody even when it comes to people as close as your blood. I recommend it most to high schoolers for the fact that the book gives off the vibe of strength, being true to yourself and not trusting anyone.

I am Not a girl, Not yet a Woman by Britney Spears perfectly can relate to this book. Her song sends a message about becoming a woman, becoming older and finding herself on her own (like Teenie in the novel.) Britney speaks on things such as, she doesn't have the answers to everything, she is still learning and finding herself which I feel related to Teenie because throughout the book, she makes mistakes, learns from them all through the journey of finding herself.
