This book is book three in a series known as the Shadow Children. All of the books are really interesting to read but, this one is special. It has a bit of sadness, romance, happiness, secret keeping, etc. A girl named Nina gets taken to jail by the population police. They believe that she is a third child. She goes through so many adventures with her new friends that she makes there. Personally I almost cried reading the book. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett the book starts in a dirty city, in India, invaded by a terrible diseases that kills everyone in it’s path. Mary a rich, spoiled, little girl lives in a mansion with her parents. When her parents die, from the disease, she is forced to move in with her uncle. The second she steps out of her carriage she already hates the place. Her room is too small, there are many rooms that she is forbidden to enter, and the one that annoys her the most, she hears a boy screaming everyday but no one will tell her who it is and what’s wrong. Mary’s favorite place to be all day long was the garden it was so beautiful and made everything feel magical. It was also where Ben, her friend, spends most of his days. Ben Weatherstaff, the elderly gardener in the mansion, he was Mary’s first friend. In the past nobody wanted to play with Mary because she was selfish but, she changed realizing that our life is worth more than that. Ben tells Mary about a secret garden that has been locked for years. Archibald Craven, Mary’s uncle, hid the key so no one can enter it. The garden reminds his of his wife, who passed away about 10 years ago. 
I laughed and cried during this book. It not only has a interesting story it also carries a lesson, treat others the way you want to be treated. It expresses how much better our world would be if everyone was happy and most importantly kind.

This is the first book in a series. It's about two girls who later turn out to be twins even though they've always thought that they had completely different backgrounds. One is a princess and the other is a slave/maid. Their kingdom, Galandria's,  is in great danger and the only way to save their people is if the princess marries a prince from the kingdom next to them. But is she safe there? I read this book in 2-3 days and that's because my parents would get mad at me when I would read for hours so I would have to go outside and play for a while before returning to reading. It's a great book!! So many people have been telling me that this is a really good book but I didn't really have the time to read it. So when I started reading I couldn't put it down it had so much suspense and interesting topics that made you want to keep reading. It also made you realize the world a little bit more. The author was talking about how the smallest details can really hurt a human and even end their life. So we need to be careful about how we act to someone and what we say to them. I really liked the learning piece in this book. So if you like suspense and realistic fiction then you will like this book. Just know that sometimes it gets really serious so its a little hard to read. This is the sequel to "The Princess in the Opal Mask" in this book after the king died the throne was handed to their younger brother. But is their brother trying to kill them? Is he really the one ruling the kingdom or is there someone above him? Just like the first book this is so hard to put down and you want to read it day and night until you find out what happens. The ending is not disappointing and its actually really cute. This is the last and final book in the Shadow Children series!! I loved this book I couldn't put it down. In the middle of the book the main character, Luke finds out that the population police is out of power and everyone is "free". But what if they're just hiding getting ready to attack? What if you can't trust the new leader? If everyone is really free where are his friends? All these questions roam through Luke's day and night. So, I read this book is 6th grade but the only reason I really read it was because I needed to read a book quickly. I rushed through the book and didn't get to enjoy that little messages inside. I thought that I should reread the book since many people have said that it's a really good book. I'll tell you that once I started reading it I couldn't put it down, it's really good! The book is about a girl who is around the age of 11. Her life seems to be pretty normal until someone gets killed. She and her best friend set off to find the killer who ends up kidnapping her family. The book has so much suspense and humor in it that I knew it was the perfect book for me. My librarian has been talking about this book for a long time, it seemed pretty cool but it also looked like that book that would go on and on about the smallest details. I decided to give the book a shot and I defiantly don't regret it. The book had everything from romance, to action, to drama. A lot of the time I stretch the book throughout a week or two but this one I finished in 2 days. It was the kind of book that you didn't want to and couldn't put down. A girl is about to become pretty when her friend runs away and ruins her whole life plans. This is the next book in the Uglies series. I was really excited to read it because the first one turned out to be amazing. So basically after Tally turns pretty the pills come with the note. But her new boyfriend Zane is getting really bad headaches after splitting the pills. All of the Crims, her friend group, are trying to stay bubbly and escape the walls of the city. Her best friend, Shay, realizes what Tally has done and is willing to do anything just to get revenge. Everything is going bad for Tally. This book is equally as good as the first one the author continues to throw surprises at you. You're filled with suspense from the beginning of the book and can't put it down. This is a book that I've heard a lot about but never thought would be my type of book. Although when my teacher gave this as an option for LIT circle books I decided to check it out and if I wouldn't like it them I would exchange it. It was honestly one of the best books that I've ever read. It keeps you hooked and opens your eyes not only to what can happen in the future but also gives you many quotes to live off of. The book also switches perspectives which is really cool because you get to see different perspectives of the time period. Overall the story is about a girl who got separated from her family and is fighting to the fullest in order to keep them safe and alive. Throughout the book there are many life and death decisions that she has to make.
