I think that if half of the producers then it would set a chain of effects to make it have less energy in the pyramid meaning if 1/2 of the producers die then there will be 1/2 the amount of normal energy. For us, that means plants will get more expensive and for other animals a lot of them will die off. Afterwards, the populations will slowly go back to the current amount due to there having less consumers to eat the producers so more producers will survive then there will be more food for the consumers and it will keep going.

If half of the producers dues it would really mess up the food chain. Herbivores will struggle for food. Then a lot of herbivores would die and secondary consumers would die from starvation because their isnt enough herbivores. In general their wouldn't be enough food for the food chain and a lot of animals would die. The air wold also get corrupted because the lack of plants to clean the air. People and animals with breathing problems would die even faster than people without them. If half of the producers died a lot of people, animals and the enviorment it's self would die.

If half of all the world's producers died off, the ecosystem would be out of control. Producers, or plants, make glucose or oxygen for all the animals in the ecosystem. If half of these plants die, then our energy and oxygen supply will be cut in half. Every single animal will have half the amount of energy and oxygen and many will die in the process. There is a possibility that this change could possibly cause some species to go extinct. Others will be favored, leading to overpopulation. Carbon dioxide level will rise as there is not enough plants to reduce carbon dioxide levels. A carbon dioxide rise would result in global warming which again might lead to the extinction of certain species and the overpopulation of another. Eventually, when most of the consumers die by the lack of energy/food, producer population will rise again and the ecosystem would be back in balance until another disaster occurs.

I think that if half of the worlds producers died then some or a lot of the consumers would die. If producers (plants) then herbivores can struggle to find food where they are. If most consumers in one area die where the herbivores live then, they would have to go to another area. They wouldn't know the specific area or how far it is. If they travel really far without food they could die. Producers and consumers also help each other. The producers provide oxygen for the consumers, and the consumers provide the carbon dioxide that the plant need for photosynthesis. And if plants (food plants) get rare people are going to use this as an advantage for money. Producers (food plants) are also food for vegans and vegetarians. If the herbivores eat all of the producers (plants) then the vegans and vegetarians would have nothing to eat. Only the carnivores would live. Omnivores can also live. They eat meat and plants. They could live with meat and not plants. So if the herbivores die then omnivores and carnivores can eat meat thus they also die. However seeing the situation some vegans and vegetarians might be able to eat meat if they have to live.
