Prior to the Civil War, the states got to decide whether or not they allowed slavery. Similarly, today states are allowed to make some decisions about what they do or do not allow in their state. Add a 3-4 sentence comment about whether or not you think states should have the rights to make their own decisions. **Don't forget to add a picture, drawing, or link to help emphasize your points!

I believe states should have the right to make their own decisions. It would be unrealistic for the federal government to make ALL of the decisions for ALL of the states. Also, the United States is a very big country and what works for Alaska, may not work for Texas.

I believe the federal government should make the decisions for ALL of the states. We are the UNITED States, not the divided states! If something is legal in one state, but illegal in another, people will just move, so they can do what they want.
