Secondly, we can conserve water, [some examples] to conserve water is : we can turn off the tap when brushing teeth and take shorter showers. This will reduce the amount of water we waste daily. [As Singapore is a small country, we need to import water and result to immensely innovative ways to save water. We can all play our part to lessen the load.]

In conclusion, saving water and electricity can help us to save the environment, and there are many ways to do so. [We can all our part in environmental conservation. Each small act plays a role in saving our environment.]

Personally, whenever I buy bottle drinks, after I finish drinking it, I would rinse it and dry it. After that, I would bring it to the recycle bin at the void deck at the HDB flat.

In conclusion, a small act can make a big difference to the environment, I believe that we should all start recycling to protect the environment.

Materials which cannot be recycled include, tissue paper, styrofoam, food-stained items, bulky items and reusables. Instead we should donate the reusable items.

I think we should not recycle food-stained items as it could contaminate the clean items. As a result, the clean recycled items cannot be reused properly.

In my opinion, people who put in the effort and time to clean their recyclable materials should not be affected by those who do not.

However, there are some items or materials that cannot be recycled such as batteries, used food containers, oily paper(used for food), food-stained items, used home appliances and electronic devices. Metal cans previously used for soft drinks/tea must be washed before being put into the recycling bin.

If we put the wrong materials into the recycling bin, it may cause difficulty for those sorting the materials out due to it being mixed. It might also be dangerous to some extent, depending on what they do with the materials after the bin is collected.

We can save the environment by conserving natural resources such as water, electricity, and other materials like paper.

To save water, we can take shorter showers instead of long baths. Beside that, we can also water our plants using the water used to wash rice.

Electricity is generated by burning the fuel which is not a continuous resource and has a limited amount. Hence, we should switch off the lights during the day to save electricity. When going out, we should switch off all electrical appliances both to save electricity and avoid fire hazards.

Paper comes from trees.We should try our best to print less, and save our work on our digital devices instead to save paper. When we write, we should write on both sides.

In conclusion, there are many ways to help save the environment. If we all play our part and do something small such as conserving resources, we can make a big change.
