         <description><![CDATA[<div>Shopping seems to have taken the world by storm. Shopping malls orginally started in the USA but have spread worldwide. Destinations such as New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai are now almost famous for their shops and shopping centres as they are for their leisure atteactions. In the UK, designer shopping outlets and mill stores have become significant within the tourism industry. Many of these outlets are promoted by local and regional tourism boards, as they bring visitors and income to the area, and other local attractions and service providers can benefit assdfsdfsfsf<br><br></div><div>Large purpose-built shopping malls such as Bluewater in Kent and the Trafford Centre in Manchester, have won prestigious awards for their contributions to the tourism industry. They not only attract domestic tourists but also tourists from overseas, who visit the UK on short breaks to take advantage of the range of products on sale. McArthurGlen has 13 designer outlet centres across the UK, France, Austria, Holland and Italy; these draw over 40 million visitors each year.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Thorpe Park wins the ‘Come to Britain’ trophy awarded by the British Tourist Board for the best new leisure development of the year.</p><p>Thorpe Park have also introduced an onsite hotel for the customers  this enables customers to be able to stay in the park rather than commuting to the park from else where.</p>]]></description>
