I went to Granberry Elementary School in Nashville, TN. Our mascot was a gecko and this was the only school I went to that had outside portables. My middle school was brand new and I was the first class of students to go through 5th-8th grade there.

My high school, Hume-Fogg Academic, is a magnet public school that required a lottery to be admitted into the school. Located downtown,it is the oldest public school in Nashville. My grandmother went here, too! The school has consistently been ranked the best public school in the state of Tennessee and in the top 50 public schools in the country.

http://schools.mnps.org/humefogg-academic-magnet-high-school/

My student-teaching placement was at Manual Academy, a high school in Peoria School District 150. The experience was unforgettable, and I learned more about teaching and the public school system than I thought I would have. My experiences there have shaped the way I look at teaching and the path I want to go down in my career as an educator.

After graduation, I taught at a summer camp at Bradley University called World of Wonder. W.O.W was my first time being in charge of a classroom by myself and I was able to experience a more hands on style of teaching.
Currently, I am a graduate assistant at Bradley University.
