A prepared environment should be safe.

Gives each child freedom to explore his or her unique potential.

The materials that put on shelves, should meet developmental needs and interests of the child.

Preparing various materials for different corners, it allows the child to have more choice to explore with the freedom. 

Materials should be nature and reality which are real, which can made from wood, metal, bamboo and glass. 

Montessori materials should also be child-size, allowing the child to work without frustration.  

 The furniture such as shelves, tables and chairs also should be child-size so that child can take and put back the materials easily.
