Many of these men are sophisticated businessman looking to start chasing after the American dream and start some sort of company. Annie Moore had an enthusiastic personality that she had her whole first day of being in America. Annie came to the U.S to visit her mother and father since she had been in Ireland for so long. This letter from lewis doyle shows how there were many irish that came to america and were happy when they came to america. He came to start a new life and that is what he did. Lewis doyle owns many acres with timber on it to get cut down and make money on it his brother john went to california and made 3000 in gold. This photo shows pull factors because some of the immigrants went to America to get out of their homeland to get new jobs, religious rights, more land and to help their family. They also wanted the "American Dream" (which was the jobs, the land, and the money) which dragged or pulled them into the new life they hoped to get for themselves and their families. The people are all crammed into the building to get that chance. The push factors that helped them want to get out of their home land were that they wanted to get out of their political and religious persecution, they also wanted a chance to get the pull factors listed above. They were already pulled for the new jobs, religious rights, more land, and hopefully a better life for their family, and then they were pushed out of their home town because of their political and religious persecutions, which means that they couldn't believe what they wanted without being judged. Now that they are in America it shows how what they were pulled there for what doesn't exist anymore they aren't being offered jobs anymore which means no land, and now they might not be able to help to support their family. The push factors were that she wanted to get away from her hometown. She also wanted to not forget about the past but to move on to achieve something greater. The pull factors were that America offered that chance to get away and to hopefully find somewhere to work and live.
