The happiest countries as a whole have large GDP's (Gross Domestic Products) per capita, healthy life expectancies at birth and the lack of corruption in government(s). But also important were three things over which the citizens have some more control over: A sense of social support, freedom to make life choices, and common acts of generosity.
Denmark is known for being the happiest country in the world, along with Iceland and Switzerland. This is because their citizens are much better provided for by their governments. Therefore taking away the common world fear of poverty and famine and giving them safe close community-like lifestyles instead. Other contributing factors include generosity, a healthy life expectancy, having someone to count on, perceived freedom to make life choices and freedom from corruption. All of these put together make for a very satisfying lifestyle compared to the "American-Dream" fantasy that we have been so commonly taught to believe.
Japan, Russia, and Central African nations all suffer from the lack of happiness. Karoshi is the name the Japanese use in place of America's phrase of being "worked to death". The workers in Japan over work themselves in a way so consistently that they don't even get enough sleep to recover from the previous day's work. These countries most commonly suffer from

Gatsby realized that the only way to win Daisy back from Tom was to get money, he knew that he needed Daisy because she is what would give him happiness. When his inheritance failed to go through to him, he went to illegal sources to get the money he needed for Daisy. When Daisy finally remembers him, he shows her the time of her life and she remembers how much she loves him. However, when he becomes too obsessive he turns Daisy against him causing the whole fiasco leading to Myrtle's death. In the end, Gatsby is unhappy, even with all of his money. This is because he only wanted money for happiness, and spent all of his money on big luxuries, assuming his status will bring the one thing that can get him happiness, closer to him.

Chemicals released in the brain in response to happiness include endorphins, dopamine, serotonin and Oxycontin, which are what make "happiness" (Hall, Siegel). People search for happiness because these chemicals cause a false addiction, which makes always want more happiness, which is also why we can get sick if we are not happy for a long time. People also remain happy if they somehow get others to also be happy, a smiling face from something you caused can affect your happiness greatly. Happiness is a major factor of everyone's life and can influence our choices, it can cloud your judgement, thinking happiness can be achieved by things that only causes temporary happiness, like having lots of money.

There can be multiple ways to get the most out of your wealth and still stay happy. One of the keys to that lifestyle is to remember and never forget where you came from. Keep in mind that you can do whatever you want with your money but to pursue what you enjoy is much more satisfying than any amount of money can give you.
Step 1: Hire a credited financial advisor. They will help you budget your money smarter. This way it lasts longer.
Step 2: (Optional) Donate money in decent quantities this way your money doesn't slip away like sand in your hands.
Step 3: Don't trust the people who use you. There are a lot of people who will want to take your money away from you because they feel they are entitled to it because of their connections to you.
Step 4: Don't change yourself. This will result in the need to continually try and please yourself before you ever make yourself happy.
Warning: Consult with your financial advisor when spending your money. They can give you advice on how to balance your account(s) when you have a vast amount of money to control. They will be very important for helping you control the urge to spend your money on everything at once.
