He tells everything in great detail as he sees it from day to day.  After so long they might get sick and tired of being there and want to be moved or just get out more often.

3) What do you imagine the life of an orderly or nurse would be like on an average day in a mental hospital, especially during the 1960's? Always have to be on your toes , anything can happen, act at a moments notice.

4) In general, how would a mental hospital patient's life be different from a person that is not in an institution?

9) What are your first impressions of your chosen character?
Shes a very strong lady who does not have any sympathy for the patients of they misbehave. she goes into work each day ready to take action and do anything she needs to do to get the patients to do what they need to do if they're refusing to do so.

10) Why is it important that this character is described in such great detail at the start of the novel?
