Cars that were made back then was Mustangs. Mustangs were also mentioned in the book "The Outsiders", but only that one had one. In that book all the Socs would have Mustangs, while the Greasers didn't. Another thing that the 1960 had that the book didn't really mention is that all the people would have slit back hair. Greasers would have so much grease in their hair that it would be easy to slit back. Another thing that 1960's had that the book didn't really mention is games in the 1960's. Now kids have tablets to play with, but back then they didn't. Most kids would play outside on a playset. One outside game kids would play is football.
