Trying to include too many details in a summary. -Have them identify the who and the what and just include a few words. 

They might struggle to understand the content of simple machines. -I would use a different text that they have more background knowledge.

I will be able to read their sticky notes on Padlet during and after the lesson to assess if they understood the content. 

Differentiation: 

For kids who can’t type or use technology appropriately, they could do the same activity on an actual sticky note. 

For kids who struggle with reading, I could have them chorale read or work in partners. 

For kids who need additional support, i could provide them with sentence stems to pull out important information.
