Republicans support the death penalty, much of the support is to help victims of violent crimes. About 81% of republicans support the death penalty, making up a majority of Americans who support the practice. Although some question the morality of sentencing a human to death, those in favor of the death penalty argue the punishment is morally acceptable for certain crimes, such as rape or murder.

Republicans believe that American citizens have the right to own, carry, and use guns. This belief rests on an ideological firmament grounded in the interpretation of the Constitution along with the basic philosophy of the party. The Republican stance on gun control circumducts that which the party believes is in harmony with its core ideologies — that the first ten amendments of the Constitution describe the undeniable rights of every individual American. Among these undeniable rights is “the right to bear arms” as spelled out in the Second Amendment.

Republicans views on abortion are rooted firmly in the belief that an unborn child, has an individual right to life that should not be infringed upon by others. Republicans oppose using public revenues to promote or carry out abortions, and also oppose any health care options that include the coverage of abortion.

The Republican Party believes in a patient-centered health care system, which is based in free markets, fostering competition and driving health care costs down. They believe that a health care system that is run by the government will reduce both the efficiency and the standard of care, as well as compromise the patient-physician relationship, and increase waiting periods within the health care system, as evidenced by government-centered health care systems throughout the world.

the Republican Party has some very adamant views. They believe that every American deserves the right to own, invest, build, and prosper. Republicans believe that inflation is a tax to the American people. It diminishes their purchasing power both at home and abroad. It punishes those who save money, keeps money in the hands of larger businesses rather than smaller ones.

10. Any issues affecting RMEC/High School Students (Lissette Garcia)

Issues affecting current High school students as of right now are definitely gun laws. Only two months into 2018 and there have been numerous school shootings. And with this we know republicans very much agree with the idea that people are allowed to carry and use guns. Another issue is about transgender bathrooms, and republicans haven't talked so much about this topic but from their views on transgender issues we can most likely tell that they will keep it at a Boy and Girl bathroom only. Their views are whether someone is a man or a woman is determined by the sex they were assigned at birth.
