The use of a student-led conference is a highly-advanced strategy of utilizing student voice. The student must have confidence in their ability to speak for themselves regarding their progress, especially in front of adults. This can be a challenge as many children are used to their parents and other adults making the decisions for them. This provides them the opportunity to have ownership of their own path.

Google Hangouts:
Google Hangouts is a digital tool that allows students to collaborate verbally and through messaging. The student is able to present information virtually and collaborate with others. To work within the goal, the students are able to lead the progress meeting on their academic progress especially with their parents or others that are not able to be present for the actual meeting.
