It is great for students to see the positive relationships with families and the school. It is a way for them to feel safe and supported as they know their parents are part of the school community.

Community engagement is essential for student learning as it allows students to see how connections are made between what they learn in school and real-world concepts.

Building relationships in the school community is essential because it shows you care about the child and their needs outside of class or testing. If you create a relationship with a parent they can tell you aspects of the child's life you may not be aware of. You can also work together to help the child have a great experience in the classroom if you are all on the same page.
