Arrange fruit for "Starlight, Starbright" rhythm.<br><br>label so-mi activity - assessment<br>Freddie recall and new slide in flipchart /assess<br><br>(Do Treble Clef Island notes assessment during this activity)<br><strong>“More Island exploration….” (5 minutes)</strong></div><ul><li>Ask students to close their eyes&nbsp; and imagine that they are with Freddie on Treble Clef Island.</li><li>Open calm.com and switch to the view “Tropical beach”. Set the volume low enough for lightly played pitches to be heard</li><li>Ask students to open their eyes to the fullscreen beach scene.</li><li>Open the slide in the flipchart that shows the staff and the graphic of treble clef island side by side</li><li>Ask students to imagine what it may sound like to travel around such a musical place</li><li>Use a volunteer to drag to places on the island we have visited. As the waves sounds, students will hear one teacher trilling lightly on the pitch level that students select. We will use a metallophone to create a soothing sound as students prepare to leave</li><li>Let students use the smartboard to move an icon that hovers over locations on the island. It should correspond with pitches on the staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Ask students to match the icon on the island with the pitch they see on the staff</li></ul><div><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
