What caused most diseases were caused by walking in manure and trash, rats fleas and not bathing frequently. People and would dump trash and their manure in streets. Also cow,horse ect... manure wasin the street. people bathed once a month. Rats were common and fleas were attracted by the manure and the fleas and rats would carry lots of diseases

Common practices in the middle ages were monks prayers, herbs leeches to drain blood out in attamped to get the disease, folktown practices such as having the four humors balanced. Humors are four feelings in your body and they need to be balenced or they got sick. Black bile was sad/gloomy. Blood was being happy. Yellow bile is getting angry quickley. And finnaly phlegm is being calm. It wasn't till 1674 Dutch scientist Anton Van Leeuenhoek invnted a micro scope and then they realized that diseases are caused by bactreria.
