     People should stop littering!!!!

Did you know that about more than 1 million marine animals die because of litter. And there is an estimated 100 million tons of plastic in the ocean around the world. I take the position that littering should stop. A reason to support that littering should stop is that litter can get you injured or hurt. Like for example, if there’s items like broken glass and metal cans then you might fall or trip and fall over and then you would have to take a trip to the hospital.

For example,when litter is on the sidewalk it may get washed down during heavy rain. And during that time, eventually the trash, garbage, or litter gets leaded to the nearest river, sea or ocean. Then the water gets polluted and eventually we can no longer use it for drinking or recreation. Many animals get mistaken the items of litter in the sea, river, or ocean maybe thinking that it’s food and could choke it down or may get entangled in it. My evidence for that is from a website called “flagstaff a.z.gov” and how it talks about how littering is not good and should really stop. ✋ For instance, I saw a video on how people found a dead whale and found plastic waste and trash in the whale's stomach. My evidence for that is from a YouTube channel called “National Geographic. The pathogen virus has killed estimated about 4.7 million people in 2015 and it all started by litter on the street and to people dying. Like for example, if there stacks of liter or trash on the middle of the highway and there is a lot of traffic a car would hit the liter and maybe get scratches or get it’s tire punctured and then that person would would need a wrench to pull the car and that wrench would cost money. Also he had to pay the workshop man to buy a new tire which would all cost a lot of money. And all of that spending of money wouldn’t have happened if some didn’t liter and took care of the country or city.
