MaDuring the 1960s, women finally stood up from their daily oppression like less pay even if they do the same job as men and they were legally subject to their husbands and they had no legal right to any of their husbands' earnings or property, aside from a limited right to "proper support"; husbands, however, would control their wives' property and earnings. One prestigious medical school even said "Hell yes, we have a quota...We do keep women out, when we can. We don't want them here — and they don't want them elsewhere, either, whether or not they'll admit it''. many books were created by women showing their frustration about how men practically owned their wives like In 1962, Betty Friedan's book 'The feminine Mystique'. the rallies of the 60s and 70s focused on dismantling workplace inequality, such as denial of access to better jobs and salary inequity. Even though there were many influencers there were no direct leaders of the movement which I find good as I believe that women having the same rights as men is obvious and that women rallied without someone telling them too because they were genuinely frustrated which I believe is justified. As during the world war II gave two thirds of new jobs to women they had to accept the idea of women in the workforce. Feminists were also influenced by the Civil Rights Movement which implies that when a race or minority stands up for themselves, more under appreciated groups of people stand up too and begin their own movement.

https://www.thoughtco.com/1960s-feminist-activities-3529000

https://tavaana.org/en/content/1960s-70s-american-feminist-movement-breaking-down-barriers-women

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/248401735672227940/

https://www.thoughtco.com/significant-american-feminist-protests-3529008

https://www.thoughtco.com/1960s-feminist-activities-3529000

http://now.org

https://www.thoughtco.com/1960s-feminism-timeline-3528910

https://www.thoughtco.com/miss-america-protest-of-1968-3528973

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/07/living/sixties-women-5-things/

http://offbeat.topix.com/slideshow/15483

http://www.skwirk.com/p-c_s-14_u-109_t-290_c-973/the-women-s-liberation-movement-its-aims-and-methods/nsw/the-women-s-liberation-movement-its-aims-and-methods/changing-rights-and-freedoms-women/women

http://www.history.com/topics/womens-history/betty-friedan

http://www.nytimes.com/1963/04/07/books/friedan-feminine.html?_r=0

Cause: It was caused because black people were treated differently than white people. Black people were lynched or killed. In the southern states there were laws that separated black people from the whites, these laws were the Jim Crow laws. After the civil war African Americans were given the right to vote but there was so much predujice against black people that these laws didn't even matter.

How: They fought using non-violent protests. Martin Luther King Jr. showed people that they should protest non-violently. A lot of white people supported the civil rights movement. They used rallies, marches, posters, etc. One notable march was the march on Washington, this was were Martin Luther King Jr. gave his speech 'I Have a Dream'. This was a speech saying that they should end racism.

Consequences: One consequence of the war was President Lyndon B. Johnson signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on July 2, 1964. This gave everyone equal rights

This shows how white people used to act stupid and being racist, it is very sad to see people being under abuse because of their skin color. In 20th century, black people didn't have any rights, they were not allowed to work, live, or learn. It is very irritating when people call you names due to your color.
White males were treated very well, but black the opposite, they thought that black people were rubbish compared to the white people.

There were many white people "gangs" that were anti-black, they were mainly originated from America in 20th century. Those "gangs" demonstrated terror, they killed the black in horrible ways, this was in order to show horror.
