In any society money is what makes the world go round. Currency can vary throughout cultures and have different meanings. For example, in the U.S the currency is green paper with past presidents on it, while in Canada the currency is colored paper with important historical figures on it. 
    On the sun lion coin, the coin depicts an astrological sun lion. This represents power & control and symbolizes an ideal ruler in the Great Age of the Seljuks. The headed bird of prey coin depicts figural imagery due to the growing economy at the time. These coins all have beautiful designs with a significance to the culture.
