I think it is more difficult for people to learn a second language because, most of the time, they are not surrounded by it. That means they are not used to it and hardly listen / speak / write it in their daily life. So it would be much easier to present it to them in activities that they can use everyday like music, games, etc.

If you are exposed to a second language since a younger age, it might be more easy to learn one. A lot of things can help, like watching movies and listening to music in that second language, among others.

There is different theory's that explains how a person learn a language, it all begin in the first years of the person, some say is the interaction, other that we born with the capacity to understand a lenguaje and process it to be able to replicate it.

There is an important difference. Our first language is simply us as babies trying to say what we hear, not knowing what we are saying. But compared to that, the expiration of learning a second language is more complex because we learn it by memorizing its structure, rules, types of words, etc. So that creates concerns about making mistakes or wondering if what we say makes sense.

I think that to learn a second language you need to have a constant exposure to the language, repeating words or phrases, comparing our language with the new one.
