The charterer trait I picked for her is brave because she sneaks into the pipe works and she knows that she can get caught or in trouble. The only reason Lina went into the pipe works was because she wanted to find a way out of ember witch made her very brave. Lina found a ripped up piece of paper that were directions to the pipe works and how to get out.  “Lina could only make sense of only a few words here and there.” Pg 95 .In conclusion shes brave because she sneaked into the pipe works. Lina changed in the book a few times but one of them is that she was very shy when the book started but when she got her job and started talking to Doon she started getting more determined on what she wants to do because Doon was more of a teacher to Lina and Lina was more of a follower. Lina is unsure because she cant decide if she should help ember or just leave ember struggle. "I have discovered a document that was in the closet" Pg. 108. This quote shows that She was not sure if she should give the mayor a letter about a box that was a way out of ember. In conclusion shes unsure because she found a box of a way out of ember and was procrastinating if she should tell the mayor or not. Lina is a shy but she is a determined person. Lina has auburn hair, and she is a slender girl, she also has to wear a red coat for work.

Because the city is under ground it is very dark and the street lights that they have dont do that much. " In the city of Ember the sky was always dark" pg 4. This quote means that there is not much light in the city, and that they dont have much in the city. In the book The People Of Sparks the city is very bright and theirs green and amazing colors. ´´Its green here and very big. Light comes from the sky´´ This quote is saying that the new place named people of sparks is better then ember.The setting dose not have similarities. The thing that is different about the settings are that Ember is underground and People of sparks is above ground. I think that shes a reluctant hero because she wants to save the day and help people but shes very shy, and she  thinks that she will be in trouble. Lina is also kind of character vs society because she thinks the city is turning on her and that the city is keeping a secret. In The People Of Sparks Doon is character vs society also because hes fighting a group and they have weapons and other material so hes trying to fight the group back. In the book The City Of Ember Lina lives underground and that there is apparently no way out. In the book The People Of Sparks  they find a new place witch could happen in real life but the thing that makes the book fantasy is when kids have to fight a big group with weapons. The character trait that I have choosed for Doon is loyal because he stays with his friends and helps them no matter what he is doing. "we cant go, they cant  make us" Pg 258  this quote shows that Doon is loyal to his friends because hes going on a mission. Doon was very quiet in the beginning of the hook because it was a new place but once he got used to all the people there he was very open like he was in ember. The second character trait I picked for Doon is Determined because he knows what he wants and when he wants something dome he will get it done. "Thats why some people want to fight" pg 280. This shows that Doon is determined because he wants to fight a group called Tick. Doon has rumpled brown hair and dark thick eyebrows.
