* In groups you are invited to select a number of greeting/welcoming phrases in different languages and make large stencils of these words on card.

* At the site, a selected number of carpark spaces would then be sectioned off and the stencils arranged within the space by your small groups.
  * For each carpark space, you are to choose a song to listen to that’s from a contemporary and traditional music from different international artists & cultures.

*As you listen to this music, you can drip, roll, splatter paint in the space using colours and movements that reflect the music (in the style of a silent disco type activity) over the top of the stencils.

* Afterward the stencils are then removed at the end of the activity to reveal the phrase placed in the space earlier.
  * This activity inspired by action painters such as Janet Sobel, Thomas Holstein and Lee Krasner.

 * Cloud drawings (Inspired by Indigenous perspectives and narratives around Sky country, Constellations and Storytelling)
  * Chalk drawing reimagining shadows (Inspired by artists such as Kara Walker and Judy Watson)
  * Geometric assemblages using materials found in the space (Inspired by Matt W Moore’s Utah residency mandala series) 

* Carpark Frottage of the textures within the carpark

 

You are then required to take photographs of your work/s and add them to the response section of the padlet and reflect on why you connected with this particular artistic practice in response to the site.
