The socs and greasers don't get along very well and sometimes get into heated arguments and or fights. This book was based on the time of the 1960s and the movie was made around the 1980s. I like the plot as well and how it's from Ponyboy's perspective. The main conflict is pretty good too. I like how there are to sides, one poor misguided side, and a rich evil side. But I think it's a good idea that they decided to show that not everyone is bad rich or poor.
