Boulware, B. (Writer) , Zuckerman, D. (Writer) & Jensen, B. (Director) (1994). Papa's Got a Brand New Excuse. Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Borowitz, A & S (Executive Producer) Burbank, California: NBC. Retrieved from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI4Mv8R0mE0

Although, this a scene from a sitcom that aired more than 20 years ago it is still such an emotional and powerful thing to watch. The most important piece to take away from the scene is the emotional burden weighed upon children, that will carry to when they become adults about the absent of their father, or if even mother. The most effective line is when he says, “How come he don’t want me, man?” and the most important visual is when he puts down the gift to his father which actually looks like a sad sculpture of a man. If you are in that position or even if you are not, this scenes the ability to rock you to your core sadly. I won’t lie, I’ve multiple times watching this! It funny because I watched so many people effected by this dilemma and it sad to see how someone could be weighed down by it. It is a prime reason how the choices we make can completely affect individuals, communities, or families. Then there is the end where than warmth and compassion from another people can help carry that burden and uplift them, giving them a broaden and more amazing aspect on life or the situation. (I have to add that I was listening to someone play the piano that’s why I woke so much and was even more in tuned with this)

Open-mindedness. Embracing the different colors, structures, and other aspects that make the subject or thing whole. Even if it was a black and white world, beauty can be seen if you evoke a positive and accepting mindset towards life and living and enjoy it with a breath of fresh air.
